Tall Spindle Windsor Chair with Arms
With its saddle-like seat and turned-spindle construction, the Windsor Chair has had the longest running popularity of any style of chair design in recent history, with a two hundred year run from about 1700 to 1900. Even today, the Windsor chair still stands as a favorite for the reasons it was popular originally. It is strong enough to survive hard daily use, attractive enough that is will fit in all but the most ornate of settings, light enough to be moved about easily, and cost-effective enough to fit most budgets.
This Arch Back Style Windsor chair is built after classic models that were built in New England circa 1800. The star feature of this chair is the arch back with extending arms made from one continuous piece of bowed wood, which is an authentic feature from the period. Dimensions: 19” x 16 ½” x 40 ½”.
