The Bodie Island Lighthouse is one of four light towers that watch over North Carolina’s Outer Banks. It was built to prepare mariners for the infamous Cape Hatteras, which lay 35 miles to the south. The lighthouse is one of the most photographed of all American lighthouses and often appears in calendars and coffee table books dedicated to lighthouses. There are five size options for your outdoor lighthouse ornament: 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 feet tall. (See photo for examples of the 2-foot through 5-foot sizes.)
We also offer several options for the working light in the “lamphouse”, which are:
-
Regular Light: a 40-watt chandelier-style light bulb.
-
Strobe Light: for a stationary flash effect.
-
Revolving Light: for a revolving flash effect.
-
Solar Light: runs off of solar energy, recharging in the day. Recommended for 2 and 3 foot sizes only due to lower level of brightness.
-
Plug in flasher: An LED-type blinking light. Recommended for 2 and 3 foot sizes only due to lower level of brightness.
The top of the lamphouse comes off like a “hat,” allowing for easy maintenance on the light.
Another option is a dusk to dawn sensor, which enables the light to turn on at night and off in the daytime, eliminating the need to manually turn the light on and off. The sensor works with all light configurations.
Prices begin at $128.00 and features FREE SHIPPING!
